Location

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Apokoronas region, east of Chania, Plaka is a picturesque and much-loved Cretan village. At its centre is a pretty traditional square lined with inviting tavernas and cafés. During the summer evenings, the square comes alive as locals and visitors gather to enjoy relaxed drinks, delicious food and warm Cretan hospitality.

The beautiful sandy beach at Almyrida is just 1km downhill from the villa. Here, you can enjoy a lovely sheltered bay, a wide choice of shops and restaurants, and a range of watersports and activities.

For those looking to explore further afield, the historic town of Chania is approximately 30 minutes by car. Spend the day wandering through the atmospheric Old Town, browsing the shops and discovering the famous Venetian harbour.
