Lourdas / Lourdata is in the southern part of Kefalonia, Greece – southeast of Argostoli, Kefalonia’s capital city. Standing proudly in the hills, overlooking the crystal blue sea, this is a popular spot for beach lovers. Nothing beats jumping into the cool, crisp Ionian sea on a hot Greek summer’s day!
Lourdas has a lovely collection of tavernas, all owned by the locals who will surely meet and greet you!
The gorgeous blue Ionian waters turn to crystal waves that drizzle over shingle stones and golden sands. Lourdas beaches are full of parasols a plenty, so you will always have a lovely spot to relax in the Greek sun! The beaches are lined with pretty cafes and restaurants, decorated with rose bushes and full of a friendly atmosphere.
Things can get a little bit hilly in this region of Kefalonia! The beach is easy to get down too but some many struggle getting back to the top – there is a little bus that trundles up and down this hill for your assistance. From the hill, enjoy the most mesmerizing views across the blue waters across to the island of Zakynthos; you can even take a day trip to this buzzing island by boat!
Kefalonia is full of rich history and culture, there is so much to see and do here and getting about by car (which we can arrange) is a piece of baklava! Our Lourdas villas come complete with stunning interiors, private pools and satisfying sea views!
